Still I know, you are a mistake

The sweetest words the charming moves
Why would you win my heart?
You are a mistake
I’d love to cherish all my life.

Memories, a whole lot of ‘em
sweetest and the sweetest
one could ever have.
Still I know, you are a mistake

I saw a better me, in the depth
of those sparkling eyes.
People say that sky is the limit
but not for the praises you had for me.

Handsome is what handsome does
I found you most beautiful
in your heart and soul.

The dreams you had: to walk
in the rain holding my hand,
under the trees, we sit together
The words you scribble
belong to me and only for me.

The blissful moments flushed my cheeks
and my tender heart triumphed with joy.
Those days I had with you...
“Thank you”, is not the word.

Shall I curse the moments
you asked for my hand or
those dry flowers that refuse to die.
My mind wanders in confusion
Still I know, you are a mistake.

I am not strong enough
to pluck the roots out and
the hurts I’ll have will never heal.
They will bleed and bleed
till I wash myself away.

Look at me how helpless I am
Have nothing in return
except these words.
Here again I bat my eyelids
but to leave a drop of tear for you.

Oh! my sweet heart
for what did I love you?
It’s time to say good bye
and afraid to ask this again,
"Have I ever lived in you?"

Is there a rebirth where
I could make a promise,
born to be one and never to depart.
Gift me one more worthful life
to live in its fullness together.
