Journey from Night to Light

Night was dark but bright enough to reflect
a beam of candle in four passionate eyes.
Aroma of sweat spread out
dampness inside the room.

The silhouette on the bedroom wall
faded away by the fuzzy fumes.

It was the same unforgettable night,
as a gift of his divine love,
Your father dropped a seed of life
inside my womb.

There sprouted another heart beat to
make me feel complete.
Awaited nine months of sleepless nights
caressed me with a whiff of nostalgia.

I was torn while wrestling with pain to
push that little life out of me.
The day I saw you born on a red blood carpet,
we met for the first time
like strangers; where again reflected
a spark of joy in four tearful eyes.
