
Ingredients:
sooji or rava - one measurement*
water - double the measurement
ghee - 1/4th of the measurement
sugar - 3/4th of the measurement
cashews and raisins - to decorate.
Preparation: Measure sooji aka rava and fry till slightly brown in a dry pan for sometime (stir continuously). Keep it aside and pour some ghee in a kadai and fry some cashews and raisins. Take them out and in the same kadai pour little more ghee if needed and pour water which would be double the measurement of sooji / rava. Add sugar according to your taste. When the water starts boiling add some food colour of your choice and put the fried sooji / rava into the water. Put the flame in simmer and stir well. "Kesari bath" is ready! Decorate it with fried cashews and raisins.
*measurement is important for sooji and water. water should be always double the amount of sooji you have taken.
It is definitely 'Shocking'..I have never seen this Kesari of this colour before :-)
